Sow indoors on the surface of fresh seed compost, sprinkling with compost to cover. Keep compost damp but not waterlogged. Place pot or tray inside a propagator or seal inside a clear polythene bag at 21-24°C until germination in 14-21 days. Do not exclude light. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 9cm pot (31/2″) pots and grow on in cooler, bright conditions under cover. After all risk of frost as passed, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions, then plant out, 30cm (12″) apart.

This is the first time for me sowing these. They’re from a free packet attached to my Garden Answers subscription magazine. I won’t lie, not holding out a lot of hope. Last year I sowed a whole bunch of various wildflowers that came from the GA freebie packs and not a single one germinated.
