A tender, prostrate to trailing, woody evergreen perennial, often grown as annual, with broadly ovate to elliptic, scalloped or toothed, light to mid-green leaves and salverform, tubular, pale blue flowers from early summer into autumn.

The bacopa cabana, or The Pikmin Flower, was bred into existence within a promotion for Nintendo’s video game Pikmin.

Plant in moist, peaty, slightly acid soil. Can tolerate shade. Keep soil moist, well drained. Flowers will drop if underwatered.


Part of my baskets. It’s probably going to lose a fight with the fuchsia.
