Saxifraga ‘White Pixie’ (Saxifraga x arendsii)

Evergreen Perennial
It seems this has the same latin name as the Highlander White. They look a bit different, but are probably vairations of the same plant.
A mound-forming, evergreen alpine saxifrage with fresh green foliage that contrasts beautifully with delicate white spring flowers. It’s an excellent choice for a rock garden, container display or stone trough, and is perfect for using as ground-cover.

Surround plants with a thick layer of grit to prevent water-logging around the crown of the plant and prevent slugs from damaging the plant.
I’ve created a small ‘rock garden’ using big stones we found while digging up various bits of the garden (some interesting info on that I’ll cover in other posts). Not really a proper rock garden, just good sized stones placed around the plants to give them something to cling to / sprawl over. It’s a very pretty little plant.
