Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 65-70F (18-20C). Sow in well drained compost, just covering the seed with compost. Sowing Time: February to July. If no germination after 4 weeks, pre-chill for 6-13 weeks.

Plant in full sun. Plant in ordinary garden soil.


Here’s hoping on these. Last year I planted the same seeds but from Mr Fothergills and as usual from MF, they didn’t germinate. Not a single one. This packet had approximately 100 seeds in but so far I can only see about 7 or 8 germinating. Fingers crossed they all survive as I love Rudbeckia, and so do the insects!
